Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their team. The clinic focuses on providing high-quality care with a low patient-to-provider ratio. The primary responsibilities include managing patient check-in and check-out procedures, maintaining a clean patient exam area, and supporting clinicians with patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of patient check-in and greeting.
- Prep charts and manage the daily appointment schedule.
- Maintain a clean and organized patient exam area.
- Communicate patient status and needs to clinicians.
- Assist with patient check-out and follow-up duties.
- Perform both clinical and administrative duties, including referrals, prior authorizations, scheduling, and phone calls.
Qualifications
- DOH Certified MA (CMA or MA-C)
- BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association, Red Cross, or Military Training Network
- Current vaccination attestation/documentation (COVID, Flu, Hep B)
- Comfortable working in a primary care setting
Experience
- Experience with EPIC/MyChart or another EMR system
- Background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics
- Phlebotomy experience is a plus
Additional Requirements
- Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
- No patient time between 12 PM–1 PM
