Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Front Desk Specialist. The role involves managing front desk check-in and check-out duties, ensuring a seamless patient experience from start to finish. Key responsibilities include scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, updating patient records, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer and direct phone calls promptly.
• Page physicians for in-patient hospital calls.
• Direct calls to the appropriate office staff.
• Update patient demographic information.
• Verify insurance coverage and collect payments.
• Scan insurance cards and identification.
• Schedule appointments and update EHR information.
• Mail paperwork to patients with upcoming appointments.
• Prepare documentation for next-day appointments.
• Handle recalls for assigned providers and assist as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility and reliability to work independently.
• Preferred: Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
• Preferred: Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Preferred: Knowledge of insurance verification and billing processes.

Additional Requirements

The role requires floating 2–3 times per month to multiple locations.
