Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Filling Technician to join their pharmacy team. The primary responsibilities include processing prescription requests, ensuring accuracy in prescription details, and maintaining effective communication with healthcare professionals. Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Prescription Processing: Receive, review, and process incoming written prescription and refill requests, ensuring all required clinical and administrative information is accurate and complete.
- Interdisciplinary Communication: Collaborate effectively with external healthcare professionals, internal prior authorization representatives, and benefits verification teams to facilitate smooth prescription fulfillment.
- Customer Service: Deliver high-quality customer service by responding professionally to inquiries from care providers, patient support teams, and patients.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and an active, valid Pharmacy Technician license.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with a commitment to providing professional, supportive care.
- Proficient in basic mathematics for accurate dosage calculation, unit conversions, and inventory counts.
- High attention to detail in verifying prescription accuracy, paired with clear verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with healthcare providers.
Experience
- Preferred: Infusion Pharmacy Experience.
Schedule / Shift
- M-F, no weekend requirements
- 10:30am-7:00pm
- Might also cover 9:30am-6:00pm
