Job Summary
Our client is looking for a Benefit Verification Specialist to perform comprehensive insurance re-verification processes. The primary goal of this role is to ensure accurate and effective communication with patients, payers, providers, and pharmacies, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete a high volume of outbound and inbound calls to patients for insurance re-verification.
- Communicate clearly and professionally to gather necessary information.
- Document patient information and verify outcomes accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily and weekly goals.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic patient inquiries.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Benefit Verification/Benefit Investigation.
- Strong understanding of insurance (EOB, deductibles, claims, payer portals).
- Willingness to pick up and drop off equipment in person.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Knowledgeable with Pharmacy PBM/HUB services and call center experience.
Skills
- Strong technical understanding of insurance processes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday, with shifts between 7am-7pm CST.
