Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Billing Specialist to partner with practices throughout the US. The primary responsibilities include managing billing claims, ensuring compliance with company policies, and resolving billing discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with practices to login to their systems and work on claims.
- Review coding, demographics, and claim information prior to filing.
- Collect and review referrals and pre-authorizations.
- Prepare bills, invoices, and document amounts due for procedures and services.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and perform electronic claims filing.
- Track rejections and communicate with clients regarding billing issues.
- Investigate insurance claims and research policy stipulations.
Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent.
- 2 years or more of experience managing billing claims in healthcare, dental, or medical settings.
- Experience in submitting claims and working on rejections.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams, and healthcare billing software.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations for health care.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years in managing billing claims in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and healthcare billing software systems.
Skills
- Technical skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams, and healthcare billing software.
- Understands industry-specific policies such as HIPAA.
- Good communication and ability to resolve billing questions and concerns effectively.
