Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Optometrist Assistant to join their growing team. The primary responsibilities include assisting with patient care, conducting pre-testing procedures, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This role offers the chance to work in a top-of-the-line facility with brand-new equipment and ample amenities.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and record patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other medical record information while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Conduct exam pre-testing procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assist practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.
- Adjust and take measurements for glasses and verify powers of glasses.
- Provide compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Sterilize equipment pre-examination and post examination.
- Answer phones and return patient calls.
- Schedule patient appointments and provide exemplary customer service to all patients.
- Manage medical supply inventory.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Two years of optometric assisting experience preferred.
- CPO Certification preferred.
