Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Shipping and Warehouse Manager to oversee compliant receipt, storage, handling, issuance, and distribution of components, raw materials, controlled substances, and finished drug products. This critical role operates within an FDA-registered 503B outsourcing facility and adheres to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day order fulfillment and materials handling.
- Author material specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Lead cycle-count and inventory-accuracy programs.
- Operate powered material-handling equipment.
- Manage cold-chain and validated temperature-controlled shipments.
- Collaborate with Quality team to support deviations, investigations, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure security, accountability, and recordkeeping of Schedule I and II controlled substances in compliance with DEA and state requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4–6 years of warehouse, materials-management, or distribution experience, demonstrating seniority and increasing responsibility.
- Direct GMP / regulated-industry experience required (pharmaceutical, 503B outsourcing, medical device, biologics, or comparable cGMP environment).
- Experience with cycle counting, inventory control, and batch/material issuance in a regulated setting.
- Hands-on experience handling controlled substances under DEA requirements strongly preferred.
- Experience with cold-chain / validated temperature-controlled shipping and LTL/freight logistics preferred.
- Experience authoring specifications and/or SOPs in a quality-controlled environment preferred.
- Experience in procurement is preferred.
