Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant who will be responsible for conducting history and physical examinations for both adults and children, performing various medical services, and providing vital health education and support to ensure optimal patient care. This role requires a skilled professional to handle patient inquiries and collaborate with medical staff to deliver high-quality healthcare services.

Responsibilities / Job Duties

• Perform history and physical examinations on adults and children, including pre-employment, school, and sports physicals.
• Conduct Pap smears, breast exams, and other necessary medical services.
• Counsel patients on birth control options and prescribe accordingly.
• Gather complete medical histories and document physical exams for each client.
• Provide treatment and write prescriptions as deemed necessary by supervising physician.
• Review lab test results and arrange appropriate follow-up care.
• Educate patients on health matters and document all health education provided.
• Engage in chart review and quality assurance activities.
• Assist in staff training and serve as backup for nursing and medical directors.
• Manage patient inquiries and coordinate alternative arrangements when necessary.

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements

Education

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program and a minimum of two years of experience.
• National Certification as a Physician Assistant.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the nursing process and medical model.
• Ability to perform health and physical assessments and emergency resuscitation.
• Proficiency in medical diagnosis and appropriate treatment planning.
• Understanding of sanitation practices, nutrition, and related programs.
• Skill in written and verbal communication.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Bilingual Spanish/English (preferred, but not required).

Schedule / Shift

Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm
