Job Summary
The Care Advocate I is responsible for providing day-to-day support to members navigating the healthcare system. As a trusted resource, the Care Advocate I helps solve healthcare issues and guides members toward healthier living, all while reporting to an Operations Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal and exceptional member experiences through calls and digital interactions.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Resolve member issues effectively and ensure understanding of the resolution.
- Guide members through the healthcare system for optimal engagement with providers.
- Act as an advocate with a Member Obsessed approach, creating value in each interaction.
- Document member interactions thoroughly and follow up on unresolved tasks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma / GED required, associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in customer service or a comparable industry.
Experience
- 3+ years in customer service or a related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
- Ability to communicate effectively through various channels.
- Empathy and professionalism in challenging situations.
- Strong critical thinking skills and independence in task execution.
