Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to perform precise blood draws, greet patients, and assist with clinic operations as needed. The primary goal is to ensure high-quality patient care across various age groups within a dynamic clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform blood draws on 5 to 7 patients on slower days and up to 10 to 15 patients on high-volume days.
- Execute precision blood draws across a wide patient demographic ranging from 6-month-old infants to 96-year-old adults.
- Greet patients, evaluate vein access, and perform standard-of-care blood collections.
- Work with pre-assembled clinical study kits provided directly to the room by clinic staff.
- Hand off all collected blood specimens immediately to internal lab staff without performing any processing.
- Assist with general clinic upkeep during draw downtime, including turning over patient rooms and greeting incoming patients.
Qualifications
- Active Phlebotomy Certification (CPT) required.
- 3 to 5 years of professional phlebotomy experience required (not suitable for recent phlebotomy school graduates).
- Demonstrated needle skill and expertise in drawing blood across an extreme age demographic.
- Ability to perform efficient venipunctures under high-volume study conditions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and patient care standards.
- Adaptability and team-player mindset for clinic operational tasks.
- Strong reliability and punctuality for a full-time, 40-hour per week schedule (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM).
