Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator responsible for managing the migration of storage endpoints from public to private access. The role includes tracking file shares, developing migration plans, and coordinating change schedules. The successful candidate will work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Track file shares and identify ownership.
- Schedule and facilitate meetings with share owners and users.
- Develop migration plans, including new IP address assignments and cutover requirements.
- Coordinate and schedule change windows.
- Lead the transition from public to private endpoints, working directly with application and share owners.
- Retire endpoints that no longer have an owner or business need.
- Maintain tracking documentation, spreadsheets, and change records.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, aside from assistance identifying owners.
- Intermediate understanding of Azure, storage services, networking concepts, IP management, and endpoint migrations.
- Strong communication skills and comfort engaging directly with customers and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and maintain a tracking inventory of potentially 1,000+ entries.
