Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse. The primary responsibilities of this position include providing emergency care, first aid, and episodic treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses. The role emphasizes the prevention of illness and injury, protection from work-related and environmental hazards, and health promotion and restoration. The nurse will maintain accurate medical records to meet legal, regulatory, and reporting standards and is expected to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency care and first aid.
- Administer episodic treatment for occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Focus on illness and injury prevention and health promotion.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of medical records.
- Protect from work-related and environmental hazards.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Valid state nursing license.
- 2+ years of nursing experience.
- Certified in Healthcare Provider CPR/AED.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer programs.
- Preferred: Experience in Occupational Health, Urgent Care, or ER.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in nursing required.
- Experience in urgent care, intensive care, or ER preferred.
Skills
- Proficient in using electronic medical records.
- Basic computer software proficiency.
- Strong independent work capabilities.
Schedule/Shift
1st shift, Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm
