Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join their primary care team. The role involves assisting patients through various communication methods, responding to patient needs, and supporting patient care coordination by collecting health information. The goal is to provide excellent health care support services for patients while fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients via telephone, or other modalities, including call backs to respond to patient needs.
• Collect health information, vitals, and other history information necessary for providers and the care team.
• Provide health care support services for all patients, adhering to clinic protocols and community standards.
• Coordinate general patient care to support all patient needs.
• Handle calls and correspondence related to pharmacy, lab, referrals, or other relevant inquiries from physicians, pharmacies, and patients.
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to manage quality initiatives.
• Foster an environment of teamwork, cooperation, respect, and diversity.
• Maintain positive communication and a professional demeanor with co-workers and patients.
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
• Attend required training sessions as requested.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid and active CMA certification/registration.

Experience

• 2+ years experience working as a CMA in a relevant field.

Skills

• Proven ability to manage calls and patient communication effectively.
• Strong teamwork, cooperation, and communication skills.

Additional Requirements

• 4x10 hour shifts with the requirement of working 1 weekend every 3 weeks.
