Job Summary
This Echo Technician position involves performing high-quality Transthoracic Echocardiograms (TTEs), Pediatric Echos, and 3D Imaging across various patient demographics, including adult, pediatric, and Level III NICU populations. The role requires managing a high-volume daily caseload efficiently and providing support for specialized interventions, such as Transesophageal Echocardiograms, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacements, and Open-Heart Surgeries. Additionally, it involves evaluating complex cardiac abnormalities, coordinating with patient transport, analyzing image data, and maintaining equipment readiness.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality Transthoracic Echocardiograms (TTEs), Pediatric Echos, and 3D Imaging.
- Manage a high-volume daily caseload with efficient scheduling.
- Provide intraoperative and procedural echo support.
- Evaluate complex cardiac structural, hemodynamic, and congenital abnormalities.
- Coordinate effectively with the patient transport team.
- Analyze image data and prepare preliminary diagnostic reports.
- Maintain equipment readiness and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of clinical echocardiography experience in a hospital setting.
- Active RDCS (via ARDMS) or CCI credential, plus current BLS certification.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal training needed.
Experience
- 3+ years of clinical echocardiography experience in a hospital setting.
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience in a high-volume acute care environment.
- Direct experience performing neonatal echocardiograms within a Level III NICU.
- Hands-on experience with structural heart and intraoperative procedures.
Schedule / Shift
4x10's With Rotating weekends (6:30am - 5:00pm). On Call Required once a month.
