Job Summary
Our client seeks a detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support patient care, clinical operations, and administrative tasks. The primary goals include assisting physicians during exams, ensuring the clinical environment is well-maintained, and managing patient information efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Escort patients, record vital signs, and update allergy/medication histories.
- Assist physicians with exams and procedures, and provide patient education as directed.
- Perform phlebotomy and administer SC/IM injections following OSHA standards.
- Sanitize exam rooms and process medical instruments according to protocols.
- Monitor and order clinical supplies to maintain an efficient work environment.
- Verify procedure consents and manage patient medical records.
- Schedule tests, procedures, and manage coordination of hospital admissions.
- Facilitate communication by managing patient calls and coordinating prescription refills.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- MA Diploma
- BLS Certification
- 1+ years of MA experience
- Experience in a busy practice is preferred
- Previous Oncology Experience is preferred

- Proficient in phlebotomy and SC/IM injections

- Ability to manage high-paced and busy practices
