Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Mamogram Technologist to perform diagnostic mammography examinations and related procedures while supporting the quality standards and compliance of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
- Assist with and perform mammography-related procedures.
- Support Quality Control (QC) activities and help maintain departmental quality and compliance standards.
- Serve as a lead resource for the mammography team, providing guidance and support to other technologists.
- Train and mentor less experienced technologists in procedural techniques, workflow, and best practices.
- Collaborate with other technologists to ensure procedures and daily responsibilities are appropriately shared across the team.
- Perform localization, mammography-guided biopsies, stereotactic biopsies, and other advanced procedures.
Qualifications
- Advanced Mammography Expertise with experience in screening, diagnostic mammography, and procedures such as stereotactic biopsies and localizations.
- ARRT, TMB, and BLS certifications required.
- Experience with EPIC systems.
- Proficiency with Hologic mammography equipment.
Skills
- Leadership and mentorship abilities.
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
- Advanced procedural experience, particularly with breast imaging procedures.
- Strong knowledge of mammography quality control and troubleshooting.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts with potential for overtime and weekend shifts at a nearby location.
- Possibility of transitioning to four 10-hour shifts per week.
- 30-minute lunch break included.
