Job Summary
Our client is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner to provide walk-in urgent care to patients of all ages. The successful candidate will evaluate and treat acute illnesses and injuries and order and interpret onsite laboratory tests, X-rays, and EKGs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide walk-in urgent care to patients of all ages.
- Evaluate and treat acute illnesses and injuries.
- Average approximately 30–40 patients per 12-hour shift.
- Order and interpret onsite laboratory testing, X-rays, and EKGs.
- Perform suturing, incision, and drainage, splinting, wound care, and women’s health exams.
- Determine appropriate treatment plans, referrals, transfers, and patient dispositions.
- Collaborate with onsite clinical and support staff.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation using Experity and AI-assisted charting.
Qualifications
- Board-certified NP or PA.
- Active, unrestricted New Hampshire APRN license preferred.
- Active DEA registration without restrictions.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Experience
- Minimum of two years of recent urgent care or emergency medicine experience.
- Experience using Experity or a similar urgent care EMR preferred.
Skills
- Proficient in suturing, incision and drainage, splinting, and wound care.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Comfortable treating patients of all ages, including pediatric and adult populations.
Additional Requirements
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced, walk-in urgent care environment.
- Willing and able to float between assigned regional clinic locations.
