Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team. The position primarily involves supporting back-office functions, rooming patients, taking vitals, and administering vaccinations. The Medical Assistant will see up to 30 patients in a given shift and work closely with providers at a 1.5:1 capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure patient flow and provide quality care safely and timely.
- Follow protocol for rooming and exiting patients.
- Complete provider referrals for each patient.
- Administer injections and distribute medications under physician’s orders; perform venipuncture.
- Assist with charting office visits and maintain communication for comprehensive patient care coordination.
Experience
- 6 months to 1+ year of experience (open to brand new).
Qualifications
- MA-C registered through WA DOH or MA-Interim intending to take the exam 90 days prior to expiration.
- Active BLS certification.
- Requires COVID immunization documentation.
- Preferred: Experience in community health and EPIC experience.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks.
