Job Summary
Our client company is seeking an experienced Medicine Physician to manage chronic pain patients, primarily responsible for routine 30-day prescription management follow-ups. The physician will handle a substantial patient volume and must ensure compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a patient load of 25-40 patients per day, primarily dealing with established chronic pain cases.
- Conduct front-loaded morning appointments, seeing approximately 3 patients per hour.
- Authorize and manage routine prescriptions, with an emphasis on compliance management including monitoring the Georgia PDMP database.
- Oversee patient compliance through pain contracts and random urine drug screenings.
- Document patient interactions using a hybrid workflow of paper charting with electronic prescribing.
Qualifications
- Board certified addiction medicine physician who accepts Medicare/Medicaid patients.
- Comfortable working with paper charts.
- Experienced in handling chronic pain prescription management.
- Licensed and credentialed with ABMS, AOA, ABPN, with state and DEA licensing in Georgia.
Skills
- Proficient in managing electronic prescriptions and paper charting systems.
- Strong compliance management and patient screening skills.
Additional Requirements
- IMLC Compact License eligibility is preferred for faster licensing turnaround.
- Open to both Part-Time and Full-Time arrangements, including Locum Tenens contracts.
- Willingness to relocate to Georgia if an out-of-state candidate is identified.
