Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to streamline patient registration processes, manage appointment scheduling, and facilitate effective communication with the clinical team. This role requires a meticulous individual who can act as a mentor and ensure a seamless patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor new and existing registration staff.
- Orient and train staff on department policies and procedures.
- Schedule patient appointments and set up recalls for returning patients as instructed.
- Answer telephones courteously and manage in-basket messages.
- Assist walk-in patients by obtaining and forwarding relevant information to the clinical team.
- Create telephone encounters for non-urgent patient concerns.
- Utilize Dental/Optical software and verify insurance.
- Scrub schedule for outstanding appointments and complete checkout processes.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish (will be required to take a language assessment)
- 1 year of healthcare experience in any role or department
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience with EPIC software

- 1 year of experience in healthcare settings
- Proficiency in patient registration and EPIC experience preferred
