Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Personal Care Attendant responsible for providing various types of support to participants including Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Independent Activities of Daily Living (IADL). The role involves maintaining cleanliness, ensuring participant safety, and assisting in various daily tasks and activities.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Provide ADL and IADL support such as toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and meal service.
- Complete safe transfers using Durable Medical Equipment like lifts, gait belts, and hoyers.
- Maintain cleanliness of participant areas including bathrooms and kitchens.
- Document participant services in electronic health records accurately and promptly.
- Act as a participant advocate, reporting any violations and changes in participants' conditions.
- Participate in quality improvement programs and follow OSHA safety guidelines.
- Assist with individual and group activities and accompany participants to medical appointments.
- Conduct kitchen duties, including dishwashing and food service management.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with frail, low-income elderly is preferred.
- Professional demeanor and patience with participants.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with participants.
- Proficient written skills for daily activity charting.
Schedule / Shift
M-F 8am-5pm
