Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join the primary care team. The role involves assisting patients via telephone and other modalities, contributing to the collection of health information, and providing support services for both adult and pediatric patients. The position also includes general patient care coordination and managing quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients via telephone or other modalities, responding to patient needs as part of the primary care team.
- Collect health information, vitals, and health history information for provider and care team members.
- Provide health care support services for all patients according to clinic protocols and community standards.
- Coordinate general patient care to support various patient needs.
- Handle calls and correspondence regarding pharmacy, lab, referrals, or other pertinent questions.
- Actively manage quality initiatives in collaboration with the provider and clinical care staff.
- Foster an environment of teamwork, cooperation, respect, and diversity.
- Maintain positive communication and professional demeanor with co-workers and patients.
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
- Attend required training as requested.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid and active CMA certification/registration.
- 2+ years of experience in a Family/Primary Care setting, including virtual and telehealth environments.
Experience
- 2+ years experience working in Family/Primary Care setting and Virtual & Telehealth.
