Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Scribe to join their team. This role involves collaborating closely with healthcare providers to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of medical documentation during patient encounters. The successful candidate will maintain comprehensive and precise patient records to support healthcare professionals in allocating more time to direct patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Accompany healthcare providers during patient visits and document all relevant medical information in real-time.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient data while ensuring compliance and confidentiality.
- Review and organize patient charts regularly to ensure information accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Act as a liaison between healthcare providers and team members for effective communication of information, requests, and follow-ups.
- Enter accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services provided during patient encounters.
- Serve as a liaison for resolving documentation queries between the coding team and providers.
- Prepare for morning huddle presentations through thorough research of patients' historical charts and external data.
- Oversee healthcare quality metrics analysis and reporting, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Analyze population health to optimize patient stratification and assist in chronic care management for at-risk patients.
- Stay updated on evidence-based medical protocols and provide revised data to the care team.
- Adhere to patient privacy and confidentiality regulations such as HIPAA.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- 2+ years of scribe experience or equivalent clinical experience with some scribing
- Medical Assistant Diploma or a Bachelor's degree preferred
Skills
- Proficiency in bilingual communication (Spanish and English)
- Strong technical skills in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Additional Requirements
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
- Morning huddle from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM
