Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Insurance Verifier responsible for verifying insurance details, ensuring data accuracy, and maintaining regulatory compliance standards. This role involves liaising with external payers and aiding in the efficient management of patient records and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Insurance Verification: Liaise with external payers to confirm patient coverage and benefits, and document reimbursement rates and patient financial responsibility.
- Data Integrity: Audit patient files for accuracy and make real-time updates and corrections.
- Case Documentation: Record insurance communication summaries and authorization details within patient accounts.
- Records Management: Digitize and organize essential documentation and distribute completed files to relevant departments.
- Reporting & Tracking: Utilize spreadsheet software to track account status from receipt to completion.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure high precision in capturing and entering intake data into the database.
- Administrative Support: Assist in maintaining departmental manuals, logs, and compliance documentation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards to safeguard sensitive information.
- Operational Efficiency: Follow established office protocols and provide cross-functional support as needed.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years in insurance verification.
- Working knowledge of various insurance plans (PPO, EPO, POS, HMO, Medicare, and more).
- Proficient in insurance portals with the ability to obtain benefit information.
- Comfortable with high production work and heavy phone volume.
- Must live in or near the DFW area.
