Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Director of Operations to oversee the daily administration and operation activities, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness. This role requires someone adept at managing benefits plans, IT systems, member services, and facilities management, while providing strong leadership and strategic direction.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Plan Administration: Establishes, monitors, and takes action on day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and integrity.
- Information Technology: Coordinates with IT providers to ensure optimal systems and technology are in place for administrative operations.
- Member & Employer Services/Outreach: Enhances member and employer satisfaction by optimizing support services, handling complaints, and ensuring compliance in communications.
- Facilities and Property Management: Oversees vendor services, compliance with regulations, and maintenance of facilities.
- Leadership: Recruits and manages the team, providing guidance and feedback.
- Coordinates Board of Trustee Meetings: Organizes meetings, develops agendas, and manages deliverables.
- Contributes to strategic, operational, and administrative goal development with external partners.
- Travel may be required from time to time.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, operations, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in a health plan or employee benefit call center in a managerial role.
- Strong business acumen and analytics skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Strongly prefer experience in project management, facilities and property management, and in handling benefit plans and regulations.
- Prefer advanced experience in Board-level activities and information technology systems management.
Schedule / Shift
Monday to Friday (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM PST), hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days work-from-home (subject to business needs).
