Job Summary:
Our top-of-class client is seeking a Registration Representative to join their team. The primary responsibilities include conducting patient intake, maintaining accurate records, verifying insurance coverage, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure seamless navigation throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts patient intake for direct admissions, outpatient services, and minor procedures, ensuring accurate registration.
- Accurately enters and maintains patient demographic and insurance information within the system.
- Verifies insurance coverage to support eligibility, reduce denials, and promote timely reimbursement.
- Reviews and audits registration data to ensure accuracy and resolves any missing or incomplete information.
- Prepares and distributes required registration materials and secures necessary signatures for insurance assignments and financial responsibility acknowledgments.
- Updates patient records promptly and collects required payments at the point of service.
- Manages incoming calls professionally and maintains a clean, organized, and professional front-end environment.
- Supports patients and families during stressful situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Completes required training programs and monitors assigned work queues to ensure accurate processing.
- Provides direction or escort services to patients to ensure seamless facility navigation.
Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent).
- 1-2 years of healthcare experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the medical field and medical insurance experience preferred.
Skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in managing and verifying records accurately.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and empathy.
