Job Summary
Our client seeks a skilled MRI Technologist to perform high-quality outpatient and diagnostic MRI examinations, establish intravenous (IV) access, and administer gadolinium contrast media. The role necessitates comprehensive patient screening for MRI safety, effective patient preparation, and coil positioning. The MRI Technologist will travel between designated regional clinical locations as scheduled and maintain efficient schedule integrity in dynamic outpatient settings.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality outpatient and diagnostic MRI examinations following standardized imaging protocols.
- Establish intravenous (IV) access and administer gadolinium contrast media independently and safely.
- Perform comprehensive patient screening for MRI safety, including Zone 3/Zone 4 protocols, implants, and metallic objects.
- Prepare patients for scans, explain procedures clearly, and manage coil positioning and patient comfort.
- Travel between designated regional clinical locations within a multi-site outpatient imaging system as scheduled.
- Maintain efficient schedule integrity and patient flow in dynamic outpatient settings.
Qualifications
- Active ARRT (MR) or ARRT (R) certification required for IV line placement and contrast administration.
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency and current certification in starting IV lines and administering contrast.
- Hands-on operational experience with Siemens MRI scanners.
- Direct operational experience with Philips MRI scanners.
- Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel technologist experience in multi-site or high-volume outpatient imaging environments.
- Proficiency in handling sub-specialty protocols (MSK, Neuro, Body, Vascular).
