Position: Virtual Urgent Care Physician

General Overview:

We are looking for physicians to join our team who can provide virtual medical services and professional guidance and support to patients over video and phone. Physicians who thrive in this role enjoy practicing in a collaborative and fast-paced environment while providing holistic and comprehensive primary care. Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assess patients via a video-based encounter
• Perform virtual comprehensive physical examination, compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and results
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans
• Collect, record and maintain sensitive patient information such as examination results, medical history and reports
• Explain procedures or prescribed treatments to patients
• Effectively use computers and electronic health record systems to record pertinent patient health history information
• Must maintain productivity levels within practice expectations (at minimum 3 patients/hour, this varies depending on the practice average and time of year)-- to meet this requirement physicians must be able to maintain efficiency during shifts (this includes keeping missed and declined calls at or below the practice expectations)
• Ability to complete documentation within practice policy (72-hours from the time of the visit)-- to meet this requirement physicians are expected to have computer literacy and be able to complete basic skills such as typing and navigating an electronic health record.
• Must maintain average patient satisfaction ratings within practice expectations-- to meet this requirement physicians are expected to deliver patient care with exemplary bedside manner and a focus on high quality, evidence-based medicine.
• Ability to arrive on time to shifts, complete shifts as scheduled and maintain excellent attendance.

 

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Completion of a 3-year residency or equivalent program
• Active ABMS or AOA Board Certification in Family or Emergency. Will also consider dual board certification in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
• 3+ years of experience in an Urgent Care or fast paced Family Practice clinic
• Ability to treat all ages
• Active and unrestricted multiple state medical licenses, and hold an IMLC or be IMLC eligible.
• Not under current exclusion or sanction by any state or federal health care program, including Medicare or Medicaid, and is not identified as an “excluded person” by the Office of Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services or the General Service Administration (GSA), or reprimanded or sanctioned by Medicare
• Must maintain Medicare active status.
• Completion of U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.

 

Licensing:

• Must have active licenses in at least 1-2 of these states: GA, AL, TN, MO, SC, IN, OK, and MS

 

Pay: $90 base hourly rate + $35 per additional visit over minimum visits. (Minimum = 3 visits/hour)

**Expected volume is 4-6 visits per hour. 

Example:

• 3 visits/hr = $90
• 4 visits/hr = $125
• 5 visits/hr = $160

 

Available Shifts:

• Part Time: 20 hours per week; weekday shifts between 3:00 PM and 11:00 PM local time; every other weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, 8 hours per day (May have some flexibility dependent on business needs to start earlier)
• Modified Full Time: 32 hours per week; weekday shifts between 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM or 2:00 PM and 11:00 PM local time; every other weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, 8 hours per day
• Full Time: 40 hours per week; weekday shifts between 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM or 2:00 PM and 11:00 PM local time; every fourth weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, 8-hour shifts
• For all contract types, exact schedules are determined based on business needs and patient volume
• No extended time off is allowed during Thanksgiving week or from December 15 through January 5. BLACK OUT PERIOD!!!

 

Training: 2 days - 16 hours paid (Monday and Tuesday - 9:30am CST Start time) REQUIRED

Start Dates: October - December 2026

Contract Duration: Until March/April (contract dates will vary depending on business needs and patient flow).

Equipment: Must provide own equipment (computer/laptop)
