Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and independent Registered Dietitian to join their virtual team as a 1099 contractor. This role focuses on providing personalized nutrition counseling, primarily centered on weight management, to members through virtual visits. Successful candidates will be responsible for managing their own schedules, delivering high-quality patient care, and contributing to a supportive health journey for individuals.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Undergo a 6-8 week insurance credentialing process to prepare for patient-facing work.
- Manage personal availability using a Google Calendar-based scheduling platform, allowing members to book appointments 48 hours in advance.
- Schedule follow-up appointments directly with patients at the conclusion of each visit.
- Conduct 30 or 60-minute virtual patient visits
- Focus on weight management counseling, while also addressing other health concerns such as diabetes. Training on GPL1s/behavioral health will be provided.
- Utilize ADIME/SOAP note methodology for patient documentation.
- Complete patient charts within 24 hours of each visit, adhering to a maximum of 90 minutes for charting per visit (ideally 7 minutes).
- Provide members with a post-visit summary in the chat, including goals, resources, and links discussed during the session.
- Participate in approximately 7 hours of paid training over a two-week onboarding process, focusing on understanding and leveraging specific program materials.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- Must be a Registered Dietitian with current Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentials.
Qualifications
- Strong computer proficiency with a minimum of 16GB memory.
- Operating system requirements: Mac OS 14/15+ or Windows 11+ (Chrome OS is not supported).
- Must possess a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Preferred: Experience with Telehealth.
- Preferred: Possess multiple state licenses.
Skills
- Technical proficiency with specified computer hardware and operating systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective patient interaction in a virtual setting.
Additional Requirements
This is an independent contractor (1099) role. Candidates must be prepared for a 6-8 week credentialing process, which requires proactive submission of necessary information to facilitate a faster clearance to begin seeing patients.
Schedule / Shift
Registered Dietitians are required to work at least 10 hours per week, with the option to work up to 40 hours per week. Appointments are scheduled based on the dietitian's chosen availability in their Google Calendar, with members booking 48 hours in advance. You get to create your own availability and schedule. Monday-Sunday 7am-10pm.
Pay: $38-44/hr
