Pay: Up to $2,450 weekly gross pay for travelers, local rates available as well
Job Summary
Medix is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment with one of our premier healthcare clients in Austin, TX. In this role, you will work as a contract clinician providing high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

Perform routine mammographic screening procedures and bone density (DEXA) scans according to departmental standards and safety protocols.

Manage patient flow efficiently, accommodating approximately 24 screening appointments per day in 10-minute increments.

Provide exceptional patient care, recognizing individual patient conditions essential for the successful completion of radiologic procedures.

Maintain all quality assurance records and quality controls required by the ACR, state regulations, and credentialing bodies.

Ensure proper anatomical orientation and accurate patient identification on all images prior to transmission for off-site radiologist review.

Practice strict radiation safety principles by applying ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards.

Utilize Hologic equipment and Medinformatics EHR to document patient care and complete procedures.

Work independently within the outpatient facility as needed.
Requirements

Education: Graduate of an AMA Council on Education-approved program in Radiologic Technology.

Certifications: Active ARRT registration in Mammography [ARRT (M)] and Radiography [ARRT (R)].

Licensure: Valid Texas Medical Board (TMB) state license.

Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain courteous, effective relationships with patients and clinical staff.

Compliance: Strong adherence to facility policies, HIPAA, OSHA, licensing, and accreditation standards.
