Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to provide outpatient primary care services. The physician will be responsible for examining, diagnosing, treating, and monitoring illnesses across all lifecycles. This role involves managing daily patient flow, maintaining accurate electronic health records, reviewing diagnostic reports, and prescribing treatments. Additionally, the physician will supervise physician extenders and participate in quality improvement programs.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Provide outpatient primary care, examining, diagnosing, treating, and monitoring illnesses.
- Manage daily patient flow with a target of 20–24 patients per shift.
- Enter and close Electronic Health Record (EHR) encounter notes within 72 hours.
- Review incoming reports and order/interpret diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.
- Arrange specialty referrals and integrate recommendations into care plans.
- Educate and counsel patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Supervise up to four physician extenders and/or Medical Assistants as needed.
- Participate in peer reviews, provider meetings, quality improvement programs, and the after-hours call system.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- MD or DO with an accredited residency program.
Qualifications
- Valid license from the State Board of Medical Examiners to practice in California.
- Board Certified in Family Medicine (ABFM/AOBFP) or Internal Medicine (ABIM/AOBIM).
- Active DEA license required.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
