Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Credentialing Specialist responsible for ensuring compliance with credentialing policies, overseeing verification and payer credentialing, and maintaining the practitioner database. This role involves collaboration with various departments to manage provider certification and licensure.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with department managers and staff to acquire necessary materials and information for provider certification and licensure.
- Oversee verification and payer credentialing to ensure compliance with state and federal standards.
- Manage the process and organization of all-payer credentialing and re-credentialing paperwork with insurance companies.
- Maintain a database of practitioners' training, education, licensing, and experience information.
- Act as a key liaison with Medical Staff team, outside vendors, and IT for HIS system updates.
- Assist in filling out, reviewing, and submitting applications with practitioners and staff.
- Perform ongoing provider database maintenance for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with regulations set by HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, HCQIA, NCQA, CMS, and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong credentialing experience required.
- Ability to work remotely.
- Preferred experience with Epic and/or Medent EMR.

- Strong technical and administrative skills related to credentialing.
