Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician/Patient Care Advocate who will act as a liaison to ensure optimal patient satisfaction, coordinate with healthcare providers, and support patients in navigating their healthcare needs.
Shift: Monday - Friday 10:00am-7:00pm | ONSITE
Duties:
- Manage a caseload of members, providing timely, compassionate support throughout the medication access process.
- Conduct outreach to members, pharmacies, provider offices, and healthcare partners to coordinate prescriptions and resolve access barriers.
- Educate members on patient advocacy, medication savings, and affordability programs.
- Assist with Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs), Copay Assistance, Specialty Pharmacy Enhanced Care Management (ECMP), and international medication savings programs.
- Resolve insurance rejections, prescription processing issues, and other medication access barriers.
- Coordinate with provider offices to obtain prescriptions, prior authorizations, and required documentation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of member interactions, case updates, outreach, and next steps.
- Collaborate with Pharmacy, Clinical, Client Success, Quality, and Operations teams to resolve member issues.
- Identify and escalate complex or high-impact cases appropriately.
- Communicate member feedback, trends, and workflow challenges to support process improvement.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to company policies and healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Texas and be a nationally certified (NHA/PTCB)
- Proficiency in patient care processes and healthcare management systems.
