Job Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care while adhering to all NRC, state, and facility regulatory requirements.
- Perform high-quality PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures for patients across all age groups, from pediatric through geriatric populations.
- Prepare and educate patients on imaging procedures, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience.
- Accurately document patient information, imaging procedures, and required compliance records.
- Complete routine quality control testing on imaging equipment and maintain all documentation required for accreditation and regulatory standards.
- Operate PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine imaging equipment, computer systems, and associated software applications.
- Follow all radiation safety protocols, including monitoring radiation exposure and maintaining dosimetry records.
- Coordinate patient scheduling and workflow to ensure efficient daily operations.
- Order, receive, and manage radiopharmaceutical doses for scheduled patient exams.
- Process, analyze, and optimize imaging data for physician interpretation.
- Maintain digital imaging records, including image storage, archiving, and system maintenance.
- Assist with insurance verification and other administrative duties as needed.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, technologists, and support staff to provide outstanding patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a PET/CT Technologist.
- ARRT certification required.
- Current registration through NMTCB, ARRT (N), or equivalent Nuclear Medicine credential.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of PET/CT or Nuclear Medicine experience.
- Experience working independently in a high-volume outpatient imaging environment.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- No nights, weekends, or call
- Flexible scheduling:
- Four 10-hour shifts or
- Five 8-hour shifts
