Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Multi-Specialty Medical Coder to provide comprehensive support in their clinical team. The primary responsibilities include chart preparation, patient interactions such as rooming and triaging, and providing endocrinology-specific clinical support, especially in managing diabetes treatment. You will also manage medication refills, prior authorizations, and supply orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support primarily one provider while assisting the entire clinical team as needed.
- Chart preparation.
- Patient rooming.
- Triage.
- Provide endocrinology-specific clinical support with a focus on diabetes management.
- Manage patient phone calls and portal messages.
- Medication refills.
- Prior authorizations.
- Order supplies, including diabetic supplies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- CMA Certification from AAMA, NHA, or NCCT or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by AMT, NRCMA, or NAHP; OR a certified EMT.
- LPN or RN Florida License.
- Preferred knowledge of endocrinology and diabetes management.
- Familiarity with insulin pumps and Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems (CGMs).
Schedule/Shift
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. One position will split 3 days in Venice and 2 days at the Sarasota location. Another position is primarily at Sarasota, with occasional travel to Venice if needed.
