Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Software Engineer to play a key role in updating their legacy application to a cloud-native platform. The position involves working with modern design standards in a collaborative environment with stakeholders, product owners, and feature teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and debug applications and components that meet all technical specifications and business requirements.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, product owners, and feature teams on developing requirements.
- Refine business requirements into technical solutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet timelines with optimal solutions.
- Perform code reviews.
- Ensure operational excellence in building, deploying, monitoring, and operating production services.
- Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and technical team.
- Mentor junior software engineers.
- Fulfill other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field; or 4 years’ relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- 2+ years' experience in the full lifecycle of software development projects in an agile environment.
- Hands-on technical expertise in building web applications and RESTful web services.
- Understanding of SOLID Principles.
- Proficiency in MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational database management systems.
- Experience with .NET Core or similar object-oriented programming language.
- Knowledge of Angular, React, or other JavaScript frameworks/libraries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a United States Citizen.
Skills
- Experience with Azure, Azure OCR/Document intelligence.
- Proficiency in DotNet and infrastructure as code (IaC) frameworks like Terraform.
- Kubernetes and containerization experience.
- Experience with ADO Pipelines or CI/CD processes generally, including database migrations and Docker image building.
- Testing experience (unit/integration/e2e).
Additional Requirements
Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-5 CST. Candidate must be able to work in the central time zone.
