Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist to join their healthcare team. The primary responsibilities include conducting routine X-ray examinations, preparing patients, and ensuring the efficient operation of radiology services.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors professionally in the x-ray suite.
- Verify that all demographic and insurance information is current.
- Prepare patients for X-ray examinations by providing education and assistance in positioning body parts.
- Conduct routine X-ray examinations as ordered by medical professionals.
- Inform physicians of wave abnormalities on electrocardiograms.
- Maintain adequate supply levels and ensure equipment is operating properly.
- Perform and record scheduled quality control measures.
- Maintain a log of X-ray procedures for monthly activity tallies.
- Clean and sterilize equipment and work area following established procedures.
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
- Communicate with clinical staff to ensure timely patient flow through the clinic.
- Attend meetings and participate in assigned committees.
Qualifications
- ARRT license.
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiation Therapy Technology and registration with the Missouri Society of Radiologic Technologists (MSRT).
- Current Basic Life Support certificate.
Skills
- Proficiency with diagnostic x-ray equipment and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in various lit settings and with ill staff and patients.
- Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Competence in extensive computer screen viewing.
Schedule
Monday to Friday 8 AM - 5 PM and rotating Saturdays 8 AM - 12 PM.
