Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) who will be responsible for assisting healthcare providers with clerical duties, patient flow, patient care, and various procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the examination room and escort patients, ensuring it is clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Maintain efficient patient flow and ensure proper preparation for patient visits.
- Communicate effectively and provide care consistent with the needs of patients.
- Schedule appointments accurately and order or maintain supplies as needed.
- Document patient information accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Provide referrals and manage orders in the Practice Management System and EHR.
- Administer medications safely and manage medical waste appropriately.
- Demonstrate flexibility with various work schedules and assist in the transition of care to other facilities.
Qualifications
- National CMA Certification
- 1 year of related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred
- Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner
- Basic proficiency in computer use
- High School Graduate or GED
Skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks
- Preferred experience in Urology and EPIC systems
Additional Requirements
The candidate must have flexibility to arrive before 8:00 AM on occasion and stay later than 4:30 PM when needed.
