Assembler Position Overview:
The Assembler position with Medix is a 3 month contract to hire position with a generator manufacturer near Wood Dale, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling large generators and enclosure systems that are used for backup power at places such as hospitals and data centers. There will be a 3 week training program that you will automatically be enrolled in starting your first day where you will learn how to assemble the units from ground up using hand and power tools. Work will require you to climb on ladders, use lifts, work with insulation and wear protective PPE (such as Steel Toed Boots) at all times.

What you will be doing:

Complete 4 week training program on generator / enclosure assembly process (full process from base to frame to roof and final assembly)

Work with hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks including drills, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc. (All tools will be provided for you!)

Assemble power generator casings both sub assembly and final assembly (including alternators, brackets, flywheels, motor mounts, starters and harnesses)

After converting to a permanent employee (3 months) you will be eligible for continued training and growth into advanced assembly and electrical positions, or even leadership!
