Our client is seeking Licensed Health Insurance Agents for a fully remote, 400-hour contract assignment supporting members with health insurance enrollment, benefits, and coverage questions.

Applicants must have an active Health or Health & Life Insurance License.

Applicants MUST provide their own desktop or laptop computer and reliable high-speed internet. Company equipment is NOT provided for this position. Applicants without their own equipment will not be considered.
Job Summary
The Licensed Health Insurance Agent provides consultative customer support by assisting members with health insurance plan selection, benefits, eligibility, and coverage questions. This is a high-volume, inbound customer service role focused on educating members and helping them make informed decisions regarding their healthcare coverage. This is not a sales position.
Responsibilities / Job Duties

Assist members via inbound calls and email with health insurance plan selection, benefits, eligibility, and coverage questions.

Provide consultative guidance to help members understand available insurance options and determine the best plan for their needs.

Complete occasional outbound calls to assist with applications, required documentation, and follow-up requests.

Answer questions regarding claims, eligibility, benefits, and plan details.

Accurately document all customer interactions within internal systems.

Maintain compliance with all insurance regulations, company policies, and quality standards.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve member concerns while delivering exceptional customer service.
Education
Qualifications
Required
-
Active Health or Health & Life Insurance License.

Must reside in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Nevada, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, or Wisconsin.

Preferred

Previous health insurance, healthcare, or call center experience.

Experience working in a regulated or compliance-driven environment.

Previous customer service or call center experience preferred.

Health insurance or healthcare experience strongly preferred.

Experience assisting customers with insurance benefits, enrollment, or coverage questions is a plus.

Schedule / Shift
Paid Training (4 Weeks)

During peak enrollment (December-January), schedules may extend until 7:00 PM CT.

Overtime and occasional weekend hours may be required during peak season.
Compensation
Benefits

Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).

Health Benefits / Dental / Vision (Medix offers six health plans. Eligibility is based on averaging 30 hours per week during the first four weeks of the assignment. Coverage begins no earlier than 60 days into the assignment if eligibility requirements are met.)
