Job Summary
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Medical Biller responsible for managing complex financial transactions and account reconciliations within a high-level analytical framework. The role involves balancing health plan accounts receivables, handling billing inquiries, and managing financial processing, payment discrepancies, and system navigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform higher-level analytical work.
- Account Reconciliation: Balance and reconcile health plan accounts receivables to ensure all financial records match incoming payments.
- Financial Processing: Manage complex financial transactions, including posting payments, processing refunds, and handling write-offs.
- Payment Discrepancies: Investigate and resolve issues related to returned payments or mismatched billing data.
- Billing Inquiries: Respond to specific billing questions from members, which may involve explaining government policies such as grace periods.
- System Navigation: Utilize multiple computer programs simultaneously to identify outstanding balances and verify payment deadlines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- 3+ years of related experience in finance or banking.
- Strong Excel skills and analytical skills.
- Proficient in handling complex reconciliation tasks using Excel.
- Preferred: Banking background and experience with government policies regarding grace periods.
