Job Summary
A premier, specialized medical practice management group is seeking a meticulous Healthcare Claims Intake Specialist to join our client's expanding team. This role is essential to ensuring the accurate, efficient, and compliant processing of medical claims for our client's specialized provider network.
Key Responsibilities
- Claims Processing: Review, validate, and process incoming medical claims for specialized clinical services.
- Data Management: Accurately input patient demographics, clinical procedure codes, and billing details into the practice management software.
- Insurance Verification: Confirm patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits prior to scheduled encounters.
- Documentation Compliance: Audit medical charts and documentation to ensure completion and compliance with payer regulations.
- Aged Claims & Follow-up: Monitor claim workflows, tracking pending submissions and investigating denied claims for resolution.
- Professional Communication: Act as a liaison between healthcare providers, insurance carriers, and patients to resolve billing inquiries.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of healthcare/medical office experience and advanced proficiency with Adobe PDF.
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Associate's degree.
- Familiarity with Anesthesia billing procedures and ASA modifiers.
