Job Summary
Our client is seeking an IT Director, Epic Patient Access (Specializing in Referrals), who will play a pivotal role in enhancing patient access, engagement, and complex care coordination through innovative technology solutions. Reporting directly to the VP of EMR Systems, this role heavily prioritizes deep, specialized subject matter expertise in Epic Referrals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage challenging referral cases and lead dedicated vertical teams.
- Drive strategic EMR optimization efforts to support patient access and engagement.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing environment to enhance patient outcomes and care capacity.
- Oversee 23 direct reports and plan for hiring a Manager or Supervisor to support this role.
Qualifications
- Experience in Epic Referrals.
- Experience mentoring and managing teams, such as Director, Manager, Supervisors, or Lead experience.
- Local to the Chicagoland area and willing to be onsite 3 days per week.
Skills
- Deep expertise in Epic Referrals.
- Proficiency with Epic Prelude, Cadence, MyChart, and HIM.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
