Position Overview
Medix is partnering with a leading national subspecialty provider for advanced diagnostic and interventional radiology to hire an experienced PET/CT Technologist to support a Medical System on Maryland's Eastern Shore. This assignment will help reduce a growing oncology imaging backlog while working alongside an experienced team in a high-quality outpatient imaging environment.

Position Details
Location
- Primary Site: Easton, MD 21601
- Mobile Unit travels approximately one day per month to Queenstown, MD
Assignment Length
- 13 Weeks
- Strong potential for extension
Schedule
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No weekends
- Mondays are expected to be the regular day off
Compensation
- Travelers: Up to $3,600 Weekly Gross
- Competitive local hourly rates available
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality PET/CT imaging procedures independently
- Conduct oncology, PSMA (prostate), and brain PET imaging studies
- Screen patients for contraindications and verify patient identity using two identifiers
- Explain procedures and educate patients throughout the imaging process
- Position patients appropriately while ensuring comfort and safety
- Administer imaging protocols with minimal supervision while maintaining image quality
- Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond to patient needs
- Maintain accurate documentation within Fuji Synapse and Epic systems
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and clinical staff to provide exceptional patient care
- Follow radiation safety standards and departmental protocols

- Siemens Trinion PET/CT Scanner
- Fuji Synapse PACS
- Epic EMR
Patient Population
- Adult oncology patients
- Primarily cancer imaging
- No pediatric patients
Requirements
- Current NMTCB certification or ARRT (N) certification
- ARRT (R) or ARRT (CT) preferred
- Active Maryland Radiologic License or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Current BLS/CPR Certification
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine program
- Minimum 3 years of independent PET/CT experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of oncology PET imaging workflows
- Excellent patient care and communication skills

- Siemens PET/CT experience
- Outpatient imaging experience
- Mobile imaging experience
- High-volume imaging environment experience
