Revenue Cycle Vendor Manager
Location: Remote. Washington State candidates ONLY
Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Revenue Cycle Vendor Manager to oversee our extensive network of external partners. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact and operational leader for approximately 50 revenue cycle vendors. You will be responsible for the entire vendor lifecycle—from onboarding and contract negotiation to performance tracking, auditing, and offboarding.
The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement, proven experience managing complex vendor relationships, and a strong financial acumen to optimize costs and drive continuous operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship & Performance Management
- Primary Contact: Manage daily relationships and act as the main point of contact for ~50 revenue cycle vendors.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), cash flow impact, and quality metrics to ensure vendor accountability.
- Issue Resolution: Handle escalations swiftly and resolve operational issues to drive continuous vendor performance improvement.
Contract Lifecycle & Financial Oversight
- Lifecycle Leadership: Direct the end-to-end vendor lifecycle, including seamless onboarding, strategic renewals, and structured offboarding.
- Contract Negotiation: Partner with the strategic sourcing team to negotiate vendor contracts, securing favorable pricing, terms, and protection for the organization.
- Invoice Auditing: Audit monthly invoices to validate vendor charges against contract terms and actual performance metrics.
- Cost Optimization: Continuously evaluate the vendor portfolio to identify opportunities for vendor consolidation and contract renegotiation to maximize ROI.
- Budgetary Support: Support organizational budgeting through accurate financial forecasting, detailed ROI analysis, and variance tracking.
Collaboration, Reporting & Compliance
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate internally with AVPs, Finance, IT, and Compliance teams to align workflows and integrate vendor processes seamlessly.
- Executive Reporting: Develop and present clear performance dashboards and financial summaries for executive leadership.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all vendor activities, data handling, and workflows strictly comply with regulatory requirements and internal organizational standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required (ideally in Finance, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working within healthcare revenue cycle, vendor management, or complex financial operations.
- Contract & Performance Management: Proven track record of overseeing vendor contracts, tracking strict performance metrics, and managing financial outcomes.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep, comprehensive understanding of end-to-end healthcare revenue cycle functions and healthcare reimbursement models.
Preferred
- Leadership Background: Previous experience in a leadership or management role within a hospital revenue cycle department—ideally in areas with heavy vendor interaction—is highly preferred.
- High-Volume Vendor Experience: Direct experience managing contracts and overseeing a high volume of vendor relationships (up to 50 partners simultaneously) is strongly preferred.
Schedule & Shift
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Pay:
$92,352 - $138,000 annually (based on experience)
