Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Follow Up Representative to ensure timely and effective processing of insurance claims. The primary role involves following up with insurance carriers to resolve denied or underpaid claims, and successfully navigating the revenue cycle process using NextGen.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow up with insurance carriers on denied, underpaid, or unresolved claims utilizing NextGen.
- Work through a backlog of claims, primarily those over 90 days old.
- Accurately document collection activities.
- Submit appeals to insurance companies to obtain reimbursement.
- Navigate multiple vendors including payer websites and clearinghouses.
- Identify and correct claim denials, billing errors, and discrepancies.
- Maintain professional communication with team and clients.
- Collaborate with department managers to correct issues and improve services.
- Provide superior customer support and escalate issues as needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience.
- Proficiency in NextGen.
- Experience with commercial claims and appeals/denials for claims past 90 days.
- Experience with various payer portals and clearinghouses.
- High School Diploma or equivalency required.
- Adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand an EOB.
- Preferred: Experience with Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska state-specific claims and aged claims/bad debts.

Additional Requirements
Willing to work Central Timezone hours (8am-4:30pm CT), but candidates can be located anywhere.
