Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Medical Director to lead their clinical programs, focusing on Office-Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). The position involves clinical leadership, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and guiding the medical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Steer the medical vision and clinical programs.
- Maintain quality and safety standards across medical operations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, DEA, and other regulatory standards.
- Partner with leadership to develop clinical protocols and policies.
- Provide expert guidance to medical staff and committees.
- Participate in peer reviews and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Oversee OTP and addiction medicine operations including methadone management.
- Supervise and develop medical staff, ensuring professional accountability.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare for audits and inspections.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
- Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Colorado.
- Current DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
- Minimum of five years post-residency clinical practice experience.
- Three years experience in an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP).
- Experience leading clinical teams.
- Knowledge of federal and state OTP regulations, SAMHSA, and DEA requirements.
