Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and formulate treatment strategies. The candidate will work closely with the healthcare team, delivering patient care through direct interactions and telemedicine platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric diagnostic evaluations to determine diagnoses and treatment strategies.
- Formulate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment plans and assess patient progress.
- Deliver medication and health education, discussing informed consent and treatment alternatives.
- Manage diagnostics by ordering and interpreting laboratory tests.
- Maintain accurate medical records within the EMR system, adhering to compliance standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare team and work with an MD/DO on complex cases.
- Manage a workload of 16 patients per day on average.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program or a Physician Assistant program with psychiatric certification.
- Current, active, unrestricted license to practice in Colorado or New Mexico, with an active state DEA license.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience utilizing EMR systems (Preferred).
Skills
- Highly competent in using telemedicine platforms for clinical encounters.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of regulatory compliance in an outpatient addiction/behavioral health setting.
Additional Requirements
This is a remote position but the candidate must reside in Colorado or New Mexico.
