Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join their dedicated team in a dynamic pharmacy environment. The primary responsibilities include handling special projects such as chemotherapy compounding, preparing sterile compounded medications, and supporting medication distribution while adhering to standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Handles special projects including chemotherapy compounding.
- Prepare sterile compounded medications, including IV admixtures and TPN solutions, while adhering to USP standards.
- Assist with medication distribution by processing medication orders and maintaining emergency kits.
- Provide frontline support by answering incoming calls and assisting customers at the pharmacy service area.
- Ensure proper storage and handling procedures are followed for inventory.
- Monitor medication inventory levels and assist with replenishment activities.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for pharmacy technicians.
- Support the onboarding and training of newly hired pharmacy staff.
- Complete additional assignments, special projects, or leadership-directed responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Pharmacy Technician Experience.
- Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician License.
- PTCB Certification as a Pharmacy Technician within 6 months of tenure.
Skills
- Proficiency in sterile compounding and medication preparation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with mentoring and training staff.
