Length of Assignment: 40 weeks - Full School Year Contract (includes pre- and post-school year activities)

 Schedule: 32 hours per week (typically 8-hour days, Monday–Thursday)

State License Needed: Oregon Licensed Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) 

Pay: $1300 Weekly Gross (Tax free stipend for eligible travelers) Housing is provided by client at no cost

About the Opportunity

Medix is partnering with a dedicated Oregon school district to find a passionate, adaptable travel clinician for a school-based therapy position. In this role, you will work closely with a close-knit district community of approximately 200 students across K-12. This contract spans the full school year, including onboarding before classes start and wrap-up activities after the school year concludes.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide on-site, school-based mental health services across one to two county schools approximately four days per week.
• Conduct student screenings, provide individual mental health counseling, and deliver ongoing educational support.
• Work from the main office during student vacation weeks, teacher in-service days, and summer months to provide outpatient services.
• Deliver outpatient care during school breaks, including individual and family counseling, mental health assessments, and treatment planning (schedule increases to a full 40-hour workweek during these periods).
• Maintain flexibility to attend mandatory school make-up days (e.g., working a Friday make-up day if a holiday falls on a Monday).
